Colab

 Colab is a bi-monthy freestyle rap night with a live band that changes lineup every two weeks. Held at The Moon Cafe, northbridge every Sunday afternoon, the pool of artists that Colab draws from is now over 60 people in size. The aims of the collective are to promote a culture of rap appreciation and support, as well as to provide a safe performance space and extend a hand to those normally outside of rap music’s narrow halls.

Led by multi-instrumentalist and rap aficionado Kruger James every Colab is an exploratory live song-writing session where anything can and does happen. Established in 2009, it’s stayed a hub for artists to network and freely share ideas, and it’s continued presence proves Perth’s wealth of artistic talent and passion is as rich as ever.
